CBP3 Volumes 3 & 4 Released for PS3!

The PS3 versions of Community Bonus Pack Volumes 3 and 4 for UT3 have finally been released!
They are currently available for download via your UT3 in-game Mod Browser on the PS3, under the "Maps" category. Alternately, you can download them via our own BeyondUnreal Fileworks mirror and unzip them to your memory stick for installation on the PS3 that way.
We must apologize to PS3 players for the huge delay on these volumes. Big thanks to "Euchreplayer", who stepped up and did the PS3 versions for us, while we had too much real life business to worry about.
Anyway - we are pleased to announce that, although these volumes are structured slightly differently to the PC versions, they contain ALL of the same content!
Volume 3 contains a whopping 15 new levels for the standard UT3 gametypes, plus 4 new pickups (including replacement mutators), and the snazzy "Rankin" character.
Volume 4 contains the Domination gametype (version 3.0), and 7 new Domination levels.
We'd just like to point out that, between all four bonus pack volumes, PS3 UT3 players now get a total of 40 new levels, 3 new characters, 4 new pickups and a new gametype! Not many modern games can claim that much completely free DLC on a console (especially coupled with the official Epic DLC)... And who knows? It might not be over yet! ;)

Most community modders would have given up on this task, but it's a real testament to the team. I, along with others will no doubt appreciate this effort.

As the others said, thanks for the hard work, free of charge. I think Refuge may well be one of the best user-made maps I've played.
However, I did have a problem- the 2 new Warfare maps appear to be bugged, for me at least- 60 gig backwards compatible model. I've had my PS3 freeze up when either starting an instant action Warfare match on Industrial or Midst, or exiting; one time the freeze-up managed to confuse my PS3 into forgetting its HDMI connection! I've downloaded and installed Volume 3 twice- once using my PC and a USB drive, and once directly through the PS3 Mod browser- and deleted Volume 3 before reinstalling. I don't seem to have any problems with the other Vol. 3 or Vol. 4 maps, and other Warfare maps seem to work fine.
Anyway, just thought I'd give you a heads up on a potential bug, or perhaps a corrupted upload session. Thanks again for the new maps and the return of Domination!

Hello - the two warfare maps
Hello - the two warfare maps are the closest fitting when it comes to memory, so if it's crashing or freezing on load, then there's a very high chance that is your problem. We tested all maps successfully on several users' PS3s while running our custom character, our two pickup mutators, and the titan mutator, to make sure they still loaded. Epic also did some basic testing on the levels before they put it in the in-game browser. You may need to disable other installed characters or mods that may be loading with the map. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the detailed advice. I do have a fair number of custom character skins selected for the bots, so that could be the problem. As for straight user mods, I only had an assault rifle mod active. I'll try deactivating the majority of the character mods, and see if that works. I appreciate for the explanation- I wonder if that could be the problem with a few other user maps. I've been running my botmatches with a bunch of custom characters for a while, and I wonder if maps like Rizer might work if I don't have so many character mods. I'll give it a shot. Congrats on the release, and on pushing the envelope for the PS3 mod capabilities!

Very nice job guys! The only thing is I can't seem to get domination to work online with other people. Keeps saying I don't have the content installed, or utdom failed to download, my friend had the same problem as me when I tried hosting it. Otherwise the thanks for finally getting these maps to the ps3. They are amazing.
