CBP3

We've noticed a lot of you wondering where the PS3 version is, now that Volume 4 is out. The answer is that we identified a few bugs in Volume 4 that slipped in due to the relatively short development time. We're working to get those fixed before releasing the PS3 version because we recognize that it's harder to update PS3 content once you already have it. We appreciate your patience, and please know that a PS3 version is on its way -- we're just trying to make sure it's up to the standards you expect from the CBP team. We don't have a definitive date yet, but it shouldn't be too long of a wait.

Community Bonus Pack 3: Volume 4 is now available for download!

The pack features 11 new maps (4 DM, 5 DOM, 1 CTF, 1 WAR) and 2 new pickups! It also includes the Domination gametype again (same as Volume 3).

Lots of news today! First, due to unfortunate conflicts with the Domination gametype, the release of Volume 3 for PS3 is going to be delayed yet again, until volume 4 is ready.

The good news is: Volume 4 will be released in a little over 3 weeks! The team is hammering away at a bunch of new levels to be ready for phase 4 of the Make Something Unreal competition (August 31). For PS3, all of the volume 3/4 standard maps, characters, pickups will be released as one pack, and all of the volume 3/4 domination stuff will be released as a separate pack.

Sorry for those PS3'ers eagerly waiting, but in the end you'll get more stuff! To prove it to you, we've got some oh-so-sexy screenshots from some of the maps in progress for Volume 4:

Unfortunately the initial release of volume 3 had a problem with the Domination mod. How can you tell if you have the right version? If the installer or zip you downloaded has a "_v2" at the end of it, then you're fine. Otherwise you will need to install the proper version of UT3Dom. It's a small download (4.7MB). Details below and on our Download page!

If you downloaded the INSTALLER OR ZIP before 10pm GMT (6pm EST), June 4, then you need to install a small patch. Download THIS ZIP FILE (4.7MB, mirror), extract the two files and run the .exe - this updates the UT3Dom modification that came with the pack and fixes the bug with the "Join online game" filter. The installer and zip have since been fixed ("cbp3_volume3_installer_v2.exe", "cbp3_volume3_zip_v2.exe"). If the INSTALLER OR ZIP you downloaded has the "_v2" at the end then you do not need that patch. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, after a bit of a delay, Community Bonus Pack 3: Volume 3 has finally been released!

It contains 11 new levels, 1 new gametype, 2 new pickups (including a replacement mutator for using them in standard levels) and 1 new character. See below for a couple of cool pics detailing the contents of the pack, and if you still haven't seen the trailer (or just want to watch it again), you can here!

Please note that if you were one of the sneaky people that downloaded any of these maps from the MSUC website (fileplanet), you will still need to download this pack as nearly all of the levels have changed since then.
