Obviously we've been hearing from lots of people who are quite anxiously awaiting the release of the pack.
Yesterday was our final(?) internal beta deadline. That means we'll be ready for an actual release to the public in... another two weeks, or a little earlier. No, we're not joking.
I'd like to put in a word about the type of maps we have in Volume 1: it's a little DM-heavy. We acknowledge that, but it's just how it worked out. We have a lot of CTF maps in the works that didn't get finished in time, plus some plans for maps in other gametypes, and these maps will go into Volume 2.
Also, we've got some beautiful new screenshots for you, courtesy of Neoduck's DM-August. Updated screens of Mozi's WAR-Airlock are also available (they took the place of the other ones, so you can see them a little farther down the page).
I also cooked up a little something at the request of some of our team members. The GIF compression is somewhat crappy... oh well.
The CBP3 team has some updates for you as we polish up and round off. We're presenting Mozi's WAR-Airlock, a welcome relief for those of you who've been eagerly anticipating a WAR map. We think the gameplay will be a pleasant surprise - we'll leave the details for later. There are also new shots of DM-Endura, courtesy of GreenLoves.
In regards to our recent call for clans to help us test, we've now made our decision and the two clans we've chosen have been notified. Thank you to all those who applied!
You should be aware as well that there will be multiple volumes of the third CBP. It won't be like CBP2, which was split into two sections released at the same time; instead, we're going to have 2 or 3 volumes released at different times so we can get quality content to you as soon as it gets completed. Each volume will still have quite a few maps, but we're also watching the download sizes for you 56k-ers.
Speaking of downloads--let's just say that as long as we're making something Unreal, we wouldn't mind winning $1 million. ;-)
We are fast approaching release, and we now need a team of people to help us test our content online. If your clan has some time over the next three weeks, allowing you to organize a few UT3 sessions, then please send us an email and let us know! Preference will be given to those that have had experience testing before. It doesn't have to be a purely competitive clan - the bonus pack should cater to both the casual and the competitive. The important thing is that we root out any online bugs and exploits before release.
Please include the number of people in your group/clan, whether you have tested before (and what you tested), any links of interest (website etc. if applicable), and anything else you think is necessary. It's also a bonus if you can test on PS3.
Hello there, I would like to let you know that Salvation's screenshots have been updated. Check them out in the content section :)
The maps are Desp's CTF-Desolation, Monger's CTF-Morgoth, and Plutonic's VCTF-TheDig, respectively. Note that the maps are still WIP.
Also, DM-Salvation's pics have been updated, and QuickTimeVR images are available for Plutonic's VCTF-TheDig.
